This one-day meeting will feature talks from various professionals from all stakeholder groups (academic, industry, and government) presenting their work in the field of environmental toxicology and chemistry. This year's scientific program will take place at the Institute of Marine Environmental Technology, followed by a (included) dinner reception at the National Aquarium. We encourage you to submit an abstract to share your exciting research - abstract submissions are open until March 8th, 2024. Some key details about the meeting are highlighted below. Registration is currently closed for this event.

Evening Dinner Reception at The National Aquarium

The reception features a 45-minute self-guided tour through the exhibits after-hours followed by a buffet and drinks reception in the dolphin viewing area and jellyfish exhibit, designed to maximize networking and social time with fellow scientists and professionals. Please note: the Aquarium reception is included in the cost of registration, however please be sure to indicate on the registration form whether you plan on attending the evening reception as a final headcount is required to the Aquarium caterers.

Parking & Transportation

Meeting attendees can park in Pier V Parking for a validated amount of $15. Additionally, we encourage the use of the LightRail, which allows for free parking at the origin station, then attendees can take the light rail ($2 single trip, $1.50 for students) to the Convention Center stop or the Camden Yards stop. More details can be found in this Transit and Dining document.

Presentation information

Platform presentations will be 15 minutes and will follow guidelines for SETAC North America meetings. Posters will be presented during the half-hour morning coffee break and at the later one-hour poster session. Further instructions for platform and poster authors are forthcoming.

Presentation awards

A 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-place award each for a platform and poster presentation will be awarded by a panel of judges. The top winners of the presentation awards will have their registration to the SETAC North America meeting in October 2024 waived, as sponsored by SETAC NA.

Breakfast & Lunch

Breakfast, coffee, other beverages, and snacks will be offered throughout the day. The inner harbor has quite the extensive collection of delicious restaurants which we encourage you to explore. As part of offering a more comfortable and customized meeting experience, lunch will be “on your own” at nearby restaurants. A list of restaurants is provided in the Transit and Dining document.

Mentor-mentee program

We are pleased to offer the mentor-mentee program as part of the meeting experience. This year we will be pairing mentors with mentees to connect during the meeting and in a one-on-one format to go to lunch together and have a more focused conversation for the mentee. If desired, mentor-mentee pairs may join other 'pairs' to form a large group.
