Chesapeake Potomac Regional Chapter

of the

Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry

CPRC's History

CPRC SETAC started in the year 1983. Like the national organization, CPRC SETAC is comprised of a mixture of members affiliated with government, industry, private sector (e.g., consulting) and academia.  It all started back in 1983 when the regional constitution was
finalized and the chapter kicked-off with our first meeting in 1984, focused on acid precipitation. After a brief period of inactivity (1985-88), we revitalized in 1989 and re-kicked off with a 1990 chapter meeting to discuss issues and programs related to the Chesapeake Bay. Volume 1, Issue 1 of the newsletter came off the press in April 1991 with editor James Andreasen.

Help us preserve our chapter’s history!  Check out our newly added CPRC History and help us make it even better. Email us your additions, corrections, and anything else you’d like to share.
