Serving the Chesapeake-Potomac Region (Maryland, DC, Virginia, and West Virginia), our chapter provides a professional forum for individuals from private industry, academia, and government agencies who are engaged in the study and analysis and solutions for environmental problems, management and regulation of natural resources, and/or research and development.  We facilitate networking and educational opportunities for scientific professionals, mentoring and career guidance for students, and environmental education and outreach for the public.

CPRC SETAC promotes student activities and will continue to serve student members by providing opportunities to find jobs, graduate schools, internships, and volunteer opportunities.  CPRC SETAC provides students a forum to present research papers and posters.  Successful students receive research awards and support for travel to national meetings.

CPRC SETAC’s expansion depends on corporate sponsorship. Following the lead of other regional chapters, CPRC SETAC reached out to organizations in our area for support of our activities and to provide funds for student involvement, web site expansion, and meeting subsidies. We hope for continued corporate grants and sponsorship in the future, which will allow CPRC SETAC to better serve the needs of the professionals and students in our region.
