Tonight two undergrads will present on topics in Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry. Janna Chapman is a senior undergraduate student at the University of Maryland, College Park pursuing degrees in Environmental Science and Technology and Geographical Sciences. Tonight she will present on "How toxic is the ocean? Characterizing the impact of deep-sea mining on ocean toxicity in the Clarion Clipperton Zone" Sophia Weldi-Miller graduated summa cum laude with University Honors from the University of Mary Washington (UMW) in 2022 with a B.S. in Biology and Earth and Environmental Science. Tonight she will present on "Comparing the Impacts of Common Deicing agents NaCl and MgCl2 on the Viability, Embryonic Development, and Behavior of the Freshwater Gastropod Physa acuta"
